Monster Poem #1: The Slug-Nogoth

Saturday, May 15th 2010

The Slug-Nogoth!

The Slug-Nogoth

Could it be, Could it be?

The slug-nogoth sitting in that tree?

With beady eye and baleful glare,

Could it be the dreaded slug-nogoth sitting there?

Could it be, could it be?

A slug-nogoth sitting in that tree?

With crooked grin and curvy claw,

Could it be the cunning slug-nogoth that I saw?

Could it be, could it be?

The awful slug-nogoth sitting in that tree?

Yes, I can hear it lick its lips and clacks its gums -

I can hear the rumbling tune it hums!

And could it be, could it be!

A slug nogoth creeping up on me?

Oh, I shudder when I hear it cackle gleefully,

And now I hope and hope the vicious slug-nogoth can't see me.
