Relationships between people are based on reciprocity. That is - "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours".

There's also:

"You stab my back, I'll stab yours."

Modern Day Plagues

It is common practice for All Powerful Deities to unleash the occasional plague or two.

Blood, lice, flies, festering boils, hail, locusts ...

But that seems a little ancient. My view is a more modern deity would throw in the occasional, more modern plague to show He was hip to the times.
