Ego Gap

The difference between a given person's skill and given person's critical faculty will end up as one or more of the following:

  • the level of self-loathing (how crap that person thinks he is)
  • the level of delusion required to maintain the sense her talent meets the standards decreed by her critical faculty
  • the level of fear of being exposed (ego-related paranoia - "What did you say? That I couldn't do this! What! How dare you")
  • the level of stress.
  • the level of procrastination he engages in (waiting for the product of talent to catch up the imagination involves and endless cycle of procrastination - "it's not quite ready ... but when the X is done then ...")
