The Gnome that Roams

The Gnome That Roams
I have a garden gnome that roams,
It roams from place to place.
I never see it move,
It moves with such stealth and grace.
But the gnome is permabulating,
Of that I am quite sure.
Sometimes I think it even chuckles,
And knocks on the front door.
Sometimes it peers in a window,
But its face never betrays a hint,
Of what it's up to out there,
(Although sometimes its shades have a darker tint.)
Celebrated by other gnomes,
For its ninja-like abilities,
To me it seems cursed -
To indulge relentless garden roaming proclivities.
But sometimes I hear it use its mobile phone,
Or chat to passersby in cheery tones,
So who knows - it's one mysterious garden ornament,
That inscrutable gnome that roams.
The Wind in the Trees

I said this as I went for a walk with a friend.
"Ahhh, splendid. The trees have been farting."
It was a good walk.
Evil Overlords, PR Henchlings & the Myth of the Middle

The moderate view, the reasonable view, is the one that is considered to be "in in the middle", a "compromise" between several competing extremes.
At least that's often the conclusion of many a "reasonable" discussion. (The lifeblood of reasonable folks in the media, politics and business).
These people are the victims of a classic propaganda technique.
